AT 58, CINDY CRAWFORD CELEBRATES AGING WITH THROWBACK PHOTO FROM 38 YEARS AGO

  • Cindy Crawford celebrates aging in a new post that recreates a photo from almost 40 years ago.
  • The post also celebrates the 20th birthday of her brand, Meaningful Beauty.
  • Fans and followers loved the blast from the past—and Crawford’s positive attitude about moving forward.

Cindy Crawford has already told the world that she doesn’t want to be ageless. So it makes sense that she’s celebrating aging by recreating an iconic photo from nearly 40 years ago. The new post celebrates not only her growth, but the double-decade anniversary of her skin and hair care brand, Meaningful Beauty.

In the first of two photos, a younger Crawford wears a leather jacket with a popped collar and looks directly into the camera, her hands framing her face. In the second photo taken presently, roughly 38 years later, she stands a bit further from the lens, wearing a similar jacket partially unzipped, a bit off the shoulder, and poses by casually holding the collar.

“@meaningfulbeauty turns 20! ✨” she captioned the post. She encouraged others to join her in sharing photos of themselves at age 20. “Grateful to have spent the last two decades working with an amazing team, learning so much about beauty and business—and helping women feel their best at every age. Happy birthday to MB! Thank you all for keeping us going!” she added.

Fans loved seeing the before and after, congratulated Crawford on her success, and thanked her for empowering women of all ages. “Superstar 🙌 in business and life! There is no one like you!❤️✨” one person commented. “Icon, the most beautiful 😍❤️🔥,” another added. “Even more beautiful with age!” someone else wrote.

Naturally, the comments section was also peppered with notes about Crawford’s “ageless” and “timeless”-ness. But it’s not a compliment she prefers. “It puts too much pressure on me,” she told Haute Living in 2022. I know all the ways that I’ve aged. My face has gotten much thinner; my mouth isn’t as full. Being told I’m ageless isn’t right.”

She continued: “I’m not 25, so why should I be trying to look 25? Why do I want someone to mistake me for a 25-year-old? I’ve had children. I have all this life experience.”

And now, at 20, so does Meaningful Beauty. They’re evolving, together—and that’s a beautiful thing.
